About Josie

Sweet Josie found herself alone and on the streets – skinny and in bad shape.  Fortunately she was rescued and joined the GVAC foster family.  We think she is about 13 and has completely recovered from her ordeal; she is now a normal weight and other than her love of sleeping behaves like a normal older kitty.  She is quite vocal and she doesn’t seem to be fond of other cats so would do best as the only cat in the house.  She is fine with children.  Josie does have a hyperthyroid and requires 2 pills a day to maintain her weight, but she takes them easily in pill pockets.  her medication is inexpensive and she doesn’t require special food.  This girl would be very happy in a home where her people are gone at work – she just sleeps the day away anyways.
