Cole came to GVAC in June of 2011 at the age of 10. He was brought to Burnside Vet to be euthanized as the family had 3 cats, but was only allowed 2. Cole was the oldest so they decided to euthanize him. Needless to say the vet was appalled and asked GVAC to take him. He had a few foster families over the 3 1/2 years but no permanent family.
He was loved by every foster and took everything in stride. He was then adopted by an amazing foster who wanted to give him the love of a family he so justly deserved. Cole loved the fact he could hang out in the sun in the backyard but he never ventured far. His most endearing trait was “hunting leaves” – he would go into the yard and pick up a leaf in his mouth and bring it back to the door. His family said “he was surrounded by love when he passed and if love could have kept him here, he would have lived forever.”
Cole will always have a special spot in our hearts. RIP sweet man.
